When it comes to your wedding, we know that every purchase requires a level of trust and we are committed to keeping our brides happy every step of the way. We are confident that you will be pleased with the quality of our dresses and gowns. In order to process your order smoothly and successfully, please read the following:


Orders can only be submitted to designers once full payment has been received, we have all applicable information from each bridesmaid and you have agreed to our store policy. It is important that we are notified of the total number of dresses. All dresses are shipped to The Wedding Library first, and the bride is notified upon receipt.


We know that sizing for your bridesmaid dress can be a little tricky so to help you order the best size, please have the following measurements taken either at the Wedding Library or at your local professional seamstress:





Once you have your measurements, please refer to the designer’s size chart to see which size best suits you. Remember - each designer is different! Since everything is made to order, we only get one chance to get it right! If you fall in between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size. It is always easier to take a dress in that it is to let out!

If a client chooses to order and confirm a size that is not recommended by one of our sales associates, we will not be responsible for the dress size should it not fit. If measurements are taken elsewhere, the client is responsible for those measurements, and if a new dress is needed (due to incorrect size) the client will be charged full price.

We are happy to work with each and every client to decide the best size depending on their measurements and the style of the dress.


All of our beautiful bridesmaid dresses are made to order. Please allow 12-14 weeks for production upon receipt of full payment. We recommend you order at least 16 weeks before the wedding to allow time for shipping and additional alterations (if needed). We can provide rush orders with lead times less than 12 weeks, but this depends entirely on the production schedule of the designer. Please note that there are additional fees for rush orders and all orders must first be approved prior to placing.


The Wedding Library accepts all major credit cards. All payments must be made in full before we can begin production on your order.


All dresses are standard sizes and are not custom-made to your specific measurements, so alterations may be required in most cases. The Wedding Library does not offer alteration services, however, we are happy to recommend professional tailors/seamstresses if needed. Please remember that the price of the dress does not include alterations and we are not responsible for any alterations made after you have received the garment from us.


Applicable sales tax will be charged on total merchandise, including shipping and handling fees, for orders shipped to New York.


When placing your order, you have the option to have your dress shipped or to pick it up at the Wedding Library once the dress arrives. There is a $20 additional fee if you choose to ship domestically. If you ship out of state, you are exempt from New York State sales tax. All garments will be shipped via UPS Ground with a signature required. Shipping upgrades must be requested and incur additional charges. The Wedding Library ships internationally (costs will vary based on weight and destination). You are responsible for notifying us in writing of any change of address before the dress arrives. We cannot be held responsible for any shipments made to addresses provided to us in your order form. If your dress is returned to us, you will be required to pay the additional shipping and handling costs.


All dresses are made to order and because of that, there are no refunds or exchanges. We want you to be happy with your beautiful dress, so please contact a Wedding Library representative with any questions prior to placing your order.

Once the order is placed and in production, no changes or refunds can be made and all sales are final. We will only accept returns or exchanges should item(s) received be defective, provided that we are notified within 5 days of receipt of items and the designer inspects and confirms deformity.


There are natural variations in color between dye-lots that must be anticipated. There is a possibility that your dress may not be an exact match to the color swatch that was ordered. The Wedding Library is not responsible for variations in color and we stress the importance of placing all of the bridesmaids’ orders together to ensure that the dresses are cut from the same ream of fabric. Like all fabrics when photographed, they may appear differently in different photos due to varied lighting conditions.


We understand that making a decision on dress colors over the internet can be difficult, as shades may differ slightly from one computer monitor to another. To help, we are more than happy to send you fabric swatches of the colors of your choice. Please note that there may occasionally be a slight dye-lot variation between the sample swatch you receive and the finished dresses.


Access is limited to authorized personnel solely for the purpose of order processing and credits. The same is true for the security of order forms that are faxed or mailed to us. The Wedding Library does not share, rent or sell information about individual customers with anyone else under any circumstances.
